I have loved art and design ever since I was little, taking every art class available to me growing up. Junior year of high school, I took a technical drafting class. I loved the structure of drafting and the free creativity of art. Putting them together, along with my fascination with Santiago Calatrava's addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum and my love of houses, I decided architecture was the career for me.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota College of Design in May 2011 and immediately followed that up with a Master of Architecture from Ball State University in May 2013. After graduate school, I moved back to Minneapolis to work in the single-family residential field.

I recently achieved my goal of becoming a licensed architect! It was a long journey - 4 years of undergrad, 2 years of grad school, 5000+ documented experience hours, and 5 standardized exams. It's been an incredible journey so far and I'm looking forward to what's to come.

With my license in hand, I finally have some free time! I've been using that time to rediscover my love of photography, painting, drawing, and reading. House projects that have been on hold since we moved in several years ago are finally in progress/completed and my husband and I are checking countries off our bucket list. I also used this newfound time to train and become a Pet Partners and North Start Therapy Animals registered therapy team with Luna, my 6-year-old golden retriever.
